Kilimanjaro Airport - Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, our representative will greet you and drive you to your hotel for a first night in Tanzania. Arusha is an important international diplomatic center. This city is considered the de facto capital of the East African Community. Arusha is surrounded by some of the most famous landscapes of Africa and African national parks. Located at the foot of Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, there is a mild climate. Transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to your lodge will take about 1 hour so you can sit back and enjoy the ride before arriving at your lodge for a well deserved night.

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Early in the morning you will drive to Tarangire National Park, an important park in northern Tanzania. It takes about 3 hours to get to this park from Arusha. On board a Jeep with a sunroof, you will go on a safari day in this marvelous nature reserve which surrounds the Tarangire River Valley and is home to Africa's most magnificent baobabs. Savannah, bush and seasonal marshes provide a sensational landscape.

This park covers nearly 2,600 km², which is about the size of Luxembourg. Tarangire National Park is considered one of the best places in East Africa to observe elephants closely. It is also common to cross large herds with elephants. You will also have the chance to see beautiful Maasai giraffes, various gazelles and antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeests, lions, leopards, baboons and more than 550 species of birds.

Tarangire National Park - Karatu

Today, it's aboard a Jeep that you will do a safari day at Tarangire National Park. This wonderful nature reserve is home to many giant trees, baobabs. The savannah, the bush and the seasonal marshes o ff er a sensational landscape. This park covers nearly 2,600 km², about the size of Luxembourg. Tarangire National Park is considered one of the best places in East Africa to observe elephants closely. You will also have the chance to see beautiful Maasai giraffes, various gazelles and antelopes, buffl es, wildebeests, lions, leopards, baboons and over a hundred species of birds. At the end of the day, we will drive to Karatu to visit our hotel for a pleasant evening.

 Ngorongoro crater - Karatu

Today you go for a safari day in the famous Ngorongoro crater. A true wildlife sanctuary, you'll find almost every animal in East Africa, including the rare black rhino. You will see a panoply of zebras, wildebeest and buf fi es. The crater is home to more than 25,000 large animals, including 26 endangered black rhinos, as well as the densest concentration of lions in the world. Each year, nearly half a million visitors come to see this incredible place.

The descent into the crater is a picturesque beauty with its lush forest and thousands of animals. En route to the interior of the Ngorongoro crater, you will cross the grassy ground of the crater, its forest, as well as the shores of Lake Magadi and its surrounding swamps. Lunch will be served as a picnic in this enchanting setting. In the company of the wonders of nature, you will share an exceptional moment near the wildlife.

Serengeti National Park

Departure in the morning for a safari through the famous Serengeti Park. The Serengeti plain is a natural savannah divided between Tanzania and Kenya. The most common species found in the "endless plains" are the wildebeest, the gazelle, the zebra and the African buff. There are also jackals, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, elephants, almost every possible antelope breed, and a rich avifauna where raptors, large and small, as well as various species of vultures are well represented. The Serengeti is probably Tanzania's most famous game reserve. The park covers 14,763 km2, but the ecosystem is much larger, extending to Masai Mara, Kenya and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Serengeti National Park

Today, you will spend a whole day exploring the vast plains of Serengeti, looking for the "Big Five" and other exceptional animals of Tanzania. You will get up early to enjoy a morning safari. At sunrise, you may encounter passing animals as the sky rises over the world and its predators busy hunting before going to bed for the day. The sunrise on the Serengeti is a unique moment not to be missed and the extraordinary photographic possibilities will be numerous at this magical moment of the day. You have the option to return to your hotel for a hot meal or opt for a picnic that can be enjoyed at one of the various picnic sites available in the Serengeti.

After lunch, you will continue your safari. Cheetah can also be spotted on the plains in the early morning and late afternoon when temperatures are not too high. They rely on the light of day and their speed to capture their prey. Groups of hippos can be seen in large pools and rivers while crocodiles sunbathe on the banks. You will return to your camp / lodge in time to enjoy an aperitif before dinner.

Serengeti National Park - Karatu

Today you will do one last safari on the plains of Serengeti before going to your hotel near Lake Manyara. We will do two short safari drives en route to Serengeti Park and Ngorongoro Park. It will be your last moment to take advantage of the splendid landscape which is offered to you. You will have dinner at your hotel in Karatu.

 Karatu-Lake Manyara National Park

You will leave early in the morning for Lake Manyara National Park. It is a small park of 330 km² that has nothing to envy to its neighbors, larger. The presence of the lake and the tropical forests, allow the presence of a diversi fi ed fauna and a very singular landscape. You will probably see groups of baboons and blue monkeys playing on the side of the road. Lake Manyara is home to buf fi es, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, but also bald eagles that glide majestically in the sky. Keep an eye on your head, because Lake Manyara lions like to climb tree branches! Leopards, though very numerous, are more difficult to see.
